Re: Filtering in DAX

Hi Matt
Sorry you were unable to help me. The reason that I had used that table monthselector, was simple as it had already been created as a stand alone slicer that was being used else where.
More reading and studying is required. lol
Thanks

Re: Filtering in DAX

Hi Matt Sorry about not being very clear. The file I attached originally was not complete. Tried removing what was not needed but ended up removing stuff we did actually need to explain the issue. I have attached a new file that has the entire set of measures and reports. I am only interested in the...

Re: Simple If command not working

Thanks Matt. The actual measure had the correct brackets. The problem turned out to have something to do with the Data Type of the "Factor Required_column". I had made sure it was text but never got it to correctly recognize the "Y" character. Once I changed it to Data Type Decim...

Importing PowerPivot created in Excel into Power BIDesktop

I have been doing a bit of work with PowerPivot in excel and have created a number of fairly sophisticated Models and reports using DAX measures. Having read all the good stuff about Power Bi, I have decided that its time for me to get on board and learn how it all comes together in BI. However I ha...

Re: Grouping selections on a slicer

Hi Owen That worked fine Neat. Took me a while to figure out what was going on in the Pivot. I don't believe in magic, but at first glance this sure looked like magic.
