Re: Slowly Changing Dimension Type 2

OK, so this is more like this video I produced some time ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xN2IRXQ2CvI

I have had a go but couldn't get it to do what I needed. Sorry, I am out of time. This may be a good one for Imke. I will ask her if she has time to take a look.

Re: Context transition in measures

Hi Marc

Very good, deep questions and very well "asked". It shows your DAX skill is strong and you will only get stronger.

can you please post your sample workbook. I will then write a response as a blog post and let you know when it is done.

Re: Puzzling measure behaviour, yet simple (?) problem

I'm happy to take a look, but please post a workbook that delivers the results you show in the image on your post. Remember you know you data - I don't. :-)

Re: Slowly Changing Dimension Type 2

Have a read of my blog article here. https://exceleratorbi.com.au/combine-ex ... -method-1/

Re: Puzzling measure behaviour, yet simple (?) problem

There is a lot of complexity built into your formula here. You have 2 sumx formulas that are nested inside each other. This makes it very complex to calculate and also to debug. I suggest you try the following formula. I can’t guarantee it will work without testing it, but directionaly it should be ...

Re: Cumulative per Month

So you want to use formula 4, and then apply that for 3 prior years? How should the formula know how many prior years? eg why not 5 prior years, or 2?

Re: Earlier/Earliest

Hi Krishna, this is a really good question. Rather than answering it here, I have written a blog article that will go live on Tuesday 2 Jan (Aussie time).
