Chapter 4 and error messages with aggregated functions

Postby kkardynalski » Sun Dec 20, 2015 5:25 am

I have had the error message shown on page 34 multiple times, and I have read blogs about "row context" and "filter context" trying to understand it. This sentence from the book
Think about the column Sales[ExtendedAmount], which has more than 60,000 rows of data. You can't simply put the entire column into a pivot table because the pivot table can't "fit" a column into a single cell on the spreadsheet.
finally makes the light click for me!

Hi, new fro Melbourne and facing the same problem and trying to put light on the same issue. I think I can transfer data from all cells from other sheet to new sheet and it will placed in the same way in all cells. Could I copy from excel and and transfer into pivot, possible?
