This may be a simple fix or something that I am over looking but I am still new to learning power pivot.
I imported a query using power query from Oracle selecting the option of connection only. Next I added the tables into the data model for power pivot. Everything was working great. All my relationships were set and add a bunch of pivot table, slicers, and charts. The problem comes in when I wanted to change something as simple as a label. I went into the sql code and changed the label from NO to No Pay. Once that was done I was no longer able to load the query into the data model. The connection was gone and was not able to be found while trying to reload the connection.
Is there a fix for this issue? I would prefer not to have to rebuild everything again.
While looking for a solution I did read a post that talks about the connection changing to read only. I reviewed an earlier version and it does show it as greyed out. Just incase that has any impact on this problem I thought I would mention it.

What version of Excel are you using? If Excel 2010 then this is a known issue. When you load data using power query to power pivot for Excel 2010 the connection string is specific for the exact query. Any changes will break the connection nad you will need to reload the table
