Expression.Error: The name 'GetData' wasn't recognized.

Postby tamiri » Thu Jun 08, 2017 4:23 am

Hi,

I am trying to follow the instructions given by Matt Masson (https://www.mattmasson.com/2014/11/iterating-over-multiple-pages-of-web-data-using-power-query/) and wrote so far the following code:

Code: Select all

let    Source = {1..22},

#"Converted to Table" = Table.FromList(Source, Splitter.SplitByNothing(), null, null, ExtraValues.Error),

#"Renamed Columns" = Table.RenameColumns(#"Converted to Table",{{"Column1", "Page"}}),

#"Added Custom" = Table.AddColumn(#"Renamed Columns", "Custom", each GetData([Page]))

in    #"Added Custom"

I get the error:

Code: Select all

"Expression.Error: The name 'GetData' wasn't recognized.  Make sure it's spelled correctly."

Can anyone advise?

Thanks,

Tamir

GetData is a name of a function that Matt Created. Have you created a function called GetData?
