No way to create two relationship for a table

Postby FrancescoPetrella » Sat Apr 08, 2017 11:38 pm

hi guys,
for the first time I have this error
Image

i simply create a relationship between my hierarchy table and the fact table (no problem in this) and my calendar table and the fact table.

I don't understand why there is this problem, with others table all works fine (and all works fine in other 100 data models too)

hey Matt

Thanks for reply but there is no answer to my problem in your links.

I have three tables:
- fact table (buoni_pasto in the image)
- hierarchy
- calendar table (calendario in the image)

I simply create a relationship between fact table and hierarchy: no problem
when i create the relationship between fact table and calendar table i got the error

is the same error solved here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Deskto ... d-p/102461

but my problem is in PowerPivot, not in Visual Studio

Which columns are you joining on? Is the column in the calendar table unique (no duplicates)?

Yes, the column in the calendar table is unique (1 row = 1 day)

Anyway, I solve the problem.

In my model one fact table has the ID column unique at this step ad the relationship was detected with the many side on the hierarchy table.
When I tried to create a new relationship I got the error.
Fixed the relationship with sides the problem disappear

thanks for support Matt
