Re: Find difference between latest date in column and other dates in column

Hi bousto, Depending on the use of that column, a measure might be a better choice (best practice suggest using measures where possible and only create calculated columns if necessary). That said, it might be a good stepping stone to have the column. Try something like the following: = CALCULATE ( M...

Re: List.Range & List.Sum M Formulas

Just came across this while researching something else and thought it might add to the understanding of M and hw it processes.

See the latter comment from Marcel - https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Deskto ... d-p/314686

Re: dax filter

Hi, if you provide a file with the data model and what you are trying to to, with expected output (mock up data if sensitive) it is more likely specific DAX can be provided. The DAX you provided is not an actual measure as it has no aggregator function, just the VALUES one (this returns a table), so...

Re: List.Range & List.Sum M Formulas

I could not find a good explanation with a short search, but you need to think of M, the Power Query language as a proper programming language. Each step is evaluated based on the reference to another step, but that step does not need to be the immediately preceding one, it could be any of the other...

Re: dax filter

DAX uses the pipe to represent OR.

So, try || (two pipe characters) between the options to include.

You may need to use a FILTER within the CALCULATE depending on how you will use filterCurrencies.

Re: If condition then Query1 else Query2

Hi Bernard, You mentioned your suggestion does not work, providing some information around the error would be useful, does it error, does it not work functionally the way you want it to? The business logic seems to be IF Parameter called Data Name is "All", use Parameter SBU to filter the ...

Re: Calculate same day of today but last year

Hi, I'd suggest you implement a Date table if you have not already, makes doing time intelligence functions much easier. Have a look at SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR and DATEADD funtions to assist with obtaining the result for the prior year. See: https://radacad.com/dateadd-vs-parallelperiod-vs-sameperiodlast...

Re: Measure - Month to Date Weekday Count

Hi John, My suggestion is if you need to calculate a result by the number of workdays, you should create additional measures, rather than working into an existing measure. That is one of the great things about DAX, to build on previous measures to reduce the complexity of any one measure. The DIVIDE...

Re: Filter a table according to a list

Hi Bilo, Firstly, thanks for such a good example file, with the data and the desired result, really makes it easier to work on. Attached is a solution to the additional processing needed. It uses a technique from Ken Puls that adds an index based on a grouping, not just per row: https://www.excelgur...
