Re: Issue with Data Model

It might help to isolate the problem in terms of where it exists, i.e. the workbook itself, or your installation of Office. Try running the workbook on a different computer that supports Power Pivot/PQ, and if it still fails, it's probably a workbook problem. If it doesn't, it might help to do a com...

Re: Distributing invoice value against product batches

Hi, I would recommend loading both the blend table and the invoices table into your data model, and then using Power Query to create a bridging table containing distinct values of the batch/blend numbers. This allows you to create relationships from both the batch table and the invoice table to the ...

Re: Issue with Data Model

I run into this sort of problem from time to time, the only solution I have found to work, is to have multiple backup copies, so that when your file becomes corrupted, you have a previous version to rely on. You could also try re-building the model in a new workbook, copying the M-code from all your...

Re: Append subset of columns

Hi Ian, ...As far as I can see the Append function only really works when the two queries have the same number of columns. This isn't the case, you can have two queries with different numbers of columns, but for the appropriate columns to append correctly, the column heading descriptions have to be ...

Re: Showing All Customers in a Table with Multiple Measures

Just an idea, but if you were to add a measure to your matrix, call it Test = ISFILTERED(CustomerTable[Customers]), does that give you the behaviour you want? It should add a column showing TRUE next to all the customers in your lookup table, but the slicers will still work.

Re: Problem with calculation of total on different hierarchy levels in DAX

Have you tried using SUMX across the values in your hierarchy for which you want the total to be aggregated? From what I can tell, Customer Attitude, Professionality and Time are all values in the column labelled SurveyQuestionsAnswers[ModelName]. You want the total (Service Quality) of RelativeEsti...

Re: Calculate a column help

Assuming your data table is called "NumDays", which is what I understand from your description, and that you want the frequency (count) of each value appearing in the column labelled "KEY1", which is again what I understand from your description, you can get this count in a calcu...

Re: Showing All Customers in a Table with Multiple Measures

Is your customer table a separate lookup table or is it only part of your data table?

Re: how to calculate the inventory on hand qty for each month's last day in that calendar year upto only current day

Assuming you have a calendar lookup table and a data table that contains the inventory value for each end of month date, and that you have a relationship set up between the date field in the data table and the date field in the calendar, I would recommend something like this: Qty on hand history:=SU...
