Re: Require Dax help with Years in Columns

Hi When I try to run this, it gives me an error "Table 3 wasn't found" Where did you try that? Is there a way to do this using dax? I think it is a bad way to do that in DAX. Because your transformation of data is incorrect as calculation source. You much times duplicate Amount of Project ...

Re: Require Dax help with Years in Columns

Hi I think it is better to split Amount per actual "Y" business unit per each year of Project Name. let Source = Excel.CurrentWorkbook(){[Name="Table3"]}[Content], Typed = Table.TransformColumnTypes(Source,{{"Project Name", type text}, {"FY16", Int64.Type}, {&...

Re: Take the selected item in a slicer

Hi
but this DAX expression will return the selected items from a slicer

Could you explain me why you used such expression? I always think that if I select values in a slicer then in its table inside a measure I can see selected values only.

Re: Table merging

Hi I think in that case Matt's algorithm is better. To do unpivot and after to do pivot again. let Source = Excel.CurrentWorkbook(){[Name="Table2"]}[Content], Unpivoted = Table.UnpivotOtherColumns(Source, {"Unique Column"}, "Attribute", "Value"), attrList = Li...

Re: Iterating through Subsets to Find Previous Value

Hi I suppose we can do that simpler = CALCULATE ( MAX ( 'Changes'[new_value] ), FILTER ( ALLEXCEPT ( 'Changes', 'Changes'[member_id] ), 'Changes'[change_type] = "Type" && 'Changes'[start_date] = CALCULATE ( MAX ...

Re: Find unique customers who own multiple products

I'm pleased that the decision was suitable for you. I see you used DAX function, INTERSECT and NATURALINNERJOIN in your Excel then you can use VAR too.
