Re: 15. Customers that have purchased. Conditional Formatting.

HI Matt, I think the mistake I have been making is when the book tells me to create a new pivot table, I am recreating the whole thing including the tables, rather than just creating a new pivot table within the existing spreadsheet! Totally new to this, so just working out how the book works (which...

Re: 15. Customers that have purchased. Conditional Formatting.

Worked it out, I made a similar mistake to the one in the thread, Page 47 Example Year Doesn't show. In the real world, how would we work out we have the correct relationships when faced with new data?

Regards,

Re: Appendix A: Answers to Practic Exercises

Jen,

Thanks for posting this, I was also getting caught out on the different names in Appendix A. Especially the TaxAmt one.

Regards,
Paul.

Re: Sum() Question 4

Hi fellas, Thank you for getting back, I realized my mistake, I was putting the name of the measure into the formula, when I should have put it in the measure name box! So my measure formula is just =[Total Margin $] / [Total Sales Value], I then remembered, after running it, that I needed to format...

Sum() Question 4

Hello, I've only just started learning DAX, and I'm already having trouble! When I type in the answer to Q4 App A, it keeps saying 'The measure formula must start with an equals sign'. What am I doing wrong? Using table name 'Sales', I've typed in... [Total Margin %]=[Total Margin $] / [Total Sales ...
