Calendar Year displaying differently in Power Query

Hi - on pg 42. When I attempt to complete step #2, I am running into difficulties using 'Calendar'[CalendarYear] when creating the proper graph. When I used 'Calender'[Date], everything works fine. When I "transform data" and look at the Calendar year column, I see the dates 2001-2004, when I look at the data view after, all I see is the date 1905 for all entries on that same column. Any thoughts?

What do you mean “transform data”? There is a calendar year column in the calendar table already

Sorry, Transform Data = In Power Query.

I attached a screenshot that shows power Query showing 2001-2004 under the CalendarYear column, but in Power BI data view, it is showing that same column information as 1905 for all rows.

Attached is my PowerBI file, and I am working off of the Access DB "Adventure Works" downloaded as instructed in the book on 10/11/2020.

I see the issue. Your CalendarYear column is formatted as a date. I am not sure why, but that is wrong. It needs to be formatted as an integer inside Power Query. If that is already done, then you can also change it from the format menu in Power BI
