Hi:
I am new to this forum (Learned about it from Matt's book "Learn to write Dax". I am looking for a good tutorial style book on pivot tables. I have used Excel, Access, Spss, on work-related and personal projects for decades. However, my knowledge is fragmented and unsystematic which costs me much wasted time and unecessary stress. Thus I have decided to undertake a systematic study of Excel with the objective of becoming more efficient and effective at data analysis.

After reading the opening pages of Matt's book, I have determined that the place to start is to gain a thorough knowledge of pivot tables (if I am mistaken in this please advise).
Can someone recommend a book that meet my needs ? Thanks.

Wrog

Thank you Matt. Having read further in your book, and having read some of Collie's book(for which I share your high regard), I have decided that the best course is to follow the approach you outline. I now think that my level of experience with Excel will allow me to gain a working knowledge of Power pivot sufficient to my needs.

I have purchased a copy of your book for my son who recently obtained a job requiring him to build dashboards for a large medical supply company.

Again thanks,

Wrog
