Problem after upgrade

Postby Kotviz » Mon Jul 23, 2018 6:51 pm

Hi All!

I have a problem with the file that I use at work. After upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and from MS Excel 2010 to MS Excel 2016, the "circular dependency" error displays when refreshing the pivot table. Before the upgrade everything was okay. Is it possible that the error is result from the upgrade? Do You have an idea how can i fix it? Thank you in advance for your help.

I doubt the upgrade caused it, but clearly something has happened. The things that cause circular references are very complex to explain and understand. Is it an Excel circular ref or Power Pivot? If Power Pivot, do you have lots of Calculated Columns? If yes, then you should try to get rid of calculated columns and prefer measures instead.
