Hi,

I am trying to construct a formule in a column of powerpivot to find a part of text of other column (CN42N[Denominação]).

=if(isnumber(SEARCH("unassigned";CN42N[Denominação]));"05";"")

CN42N[Denominação] is the column in same page where I am trying to construct the formule.

This formule is giving error and I do not know what it is wrong. Could you help me, please?

In my experience, the optional additional parameters for search are not optional, but required.

Yes it is possible, but you must supply all 4 parameters. The last 2 are not optional, they are required.
