Hey everyone,

I have this issue as well, its Excel 2016, on another forum somebody reinstalled their excel 2016 which fixed it, but only on a temp basis as it was soon back. I cant believe I am now going to have to do this on Excel 2010 and not 2016. Pathetic. For those who would like to know more, this is the URL I read on it...

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mso ... c002615b52

...looks like this has been an issue for about 6 months, considering it renders powerpivot almost useless you would think some urgency would be the order of the day.

just chiming in that i am running into this same issue.

What i did for now to move on is manually edit the SQL query, first of all i don't understand why Excel is showing me SQL in a dax course. but okay. after almost 2 years and no reasonable resolution from the author or anyone else, this is what id did to resolve it for myself.

Replace Select Calendar.* FROM Calendar with the code below

FROM Calendar

In step 4. you're asked to apply a filter to the year column. In step 5 you are asked to deselect (remove) 3 column. After step 6 you are asked to remove the year filter before continuing. the code above should let you continue with the exercises.

Return to “PowerPivot/DAX”
