Hi
I have several workspaces created as a by-product of creating MS Teams for different business units.
I want to use the workspaces to create PBi Dashboards and Reports
And then I want to cherry pick reports/tiles from individual workspaces into a dashboard in a separate workspace
Pic below illustrates - can it be done? Should it be done? Is there a another way to think about this?

Re: Single Dashboard pulling from Multiple Workspaces
Yes and no. I need to update my blog article about this, but I have been too busy to get to it. In short
Create a master report and publish to a workspace
The create a new power BI report that connects to the dataset in the first workspace. This is a thin workbook with no data of its own - it inherits the data from the first workspace
Publish the new workbook to a new workspace
Repeat as required
Once you have thin workbooks in one workspace, you can pin tiles into a single dashboard.
Hope that helps.

Brilliant
Hit a snag though at step 3
When I try to publish the new workbook to a new workspace, it only offers the original (source) workspace

Do you have write access to an existing new workspace? You need the new workspace to exist, and you need to have write access to it.

EDIT - could this be a new experience workspace vs classic workspace issue?
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power- ... e-datasets
Yep - I created both workspaces through MS Teams
- When I connect to data source on my C:\ all those MS Teams workspaces are available as publishable locations
- When I try to connect to the PBi Dataset within one of the MS Teams (call it Team A) the publish dialogue box only offers Team A

Re: Single Dashboard pulling from Multiple Workspaces
It definitely could be that. You can only republish into a different workspace if both are the new type of workspaces. That is what the “new” shared datasets is/does
